ITINERARY


Itinerary

We start the tour by picking you up from the Airport and we head to Galle. The first stop is at Kosgoda where we visit the turtle farm. After that we can have a boat safari at the Madu River in Balapltiya. After the boat safari we head to Hikkaduwa, a small town on the south coast of Sri Lanka. There we can see the stick fishermen who sit on sticks while fishing in the traditional way. Then we continue our journey to Galle. Galle is the best example of a fortified city built by Europeans in south and Southeast Asia, showing the interaction between European architectural styles and south Asian traditions. The Galle fort is a world heritage site and the largest remaining fortress in Asia built by European occupiers. Next we go sightseeing in the Galle city - visit the Dutch fort, the Galle Museum, an old Dutch church and the British church. After finishing up with the sightseeing you will be transferred to the hotel where you stay overnight.
On the second day we pick you up from the hotel after the breakfast and we head to Tissamaharamaya and our first stop is Wawurukannala temple. After finishing up with the sightseeing at Wawurukannala temple we proceed to Yala National Park for the Safari. There you can experience Sri Lankan wildlife and the nature. At the end of the day we transfer you to the hotel where you stay overnight.
On the third day after breakfast we head to Ella. On the way to Ella we stop at the Elephant Transit home in Udawalawa. Next we visit the fascinating Rawana waterfall. Then we head to little Adam’s Peak and nine arch bridge. In the evening you can participate to a cooking program to experience the cooking of amazing Sri Lankan foods. Finally you will be transferred to the hotel where you stay overnight.
After the breakfast we arrive to Ella Railway Station to take the train to Nuwara Eliya. During the train journey you can have an amazing nature experience of the Sri Lankan hill country. End of the train journey we visit Haggala Botanical Garden in Nuwara Eliya. Next we go sightseeing Nuwara Eliya city. After that you will be transferred to the hotel where you stay overnight.
We pick you up from the hotel after breakfast and we visit a tea factory. Next we visit the Temple of tooth which also known as Dalada Maligawa, the sacred place where the Lord Buddha's left tooth rests. After sightseeing the temple we visit gem shops and a batik factory. In the evening we can participate for a cultural dancing show. End of the cultural show we transfer you to the hotel.
On the sixth day after the breakfast first we visit herbal and spice garden and proceed to Dambulla Cave temple. Dating back to the 1st century BC, this is the most impressive cave temple in Asia. It has five caves under a vast overhanging rock, carved with a drip line to keep the interiors dry. There are images of the Lord Buddha as well as various gods and goddesses. After sightseeing the temple we transfer you to the hotel where you stay overnight.
On the seventh day we pick you up from the hotel after breakfast and we head to Sigiriya Rock which is also known as lion rock. Sigiriya is a rock fortress and it’s famous for the frescoes and it has 22 painted pictures. After stepping down the Sigiriya rock we go for a village safari to experience the village life and Sri Lankan culture. After finishing up the safari you will be transferred to the hotel where you stay overnight.
After the breakfast we proceed to Negombo and go sightseeing the Negombo city. There you can visit Dutch port, Negombo Church, Fish market, Buddhist Temple and Hindu Temple. After sightseeing you can have an Ayurvedic herbal treatment. . End of the tour you will be transferred to the airport.
